IGAG Research Topic

A System in Continuous Evolution - Physical, Chemical, Biological Processes on Different Temporal and Spatial Scales, and Interactions with Human Activities

This macro-theme addresses, across different temporal scales, the interactions between Geological Processes, Climatic Variability, Natural and Anthropic Environments, with the objective of providing Multidisciplinary Scientific Bases on Environments, Ecosystems and Health, and Technological Solutions for environmental protection. Activities range from the study of Geo-Environmental Phenomena that shape landscapes and ecosystems, to the analysis of Environmental Degradation Processes, and the Development of Technologies for Environmental Protection and Remediation, with attention to the valorization of industrial waste in a circular economy perspective.
