Natural and Anthropogenic Risks

IGAG Research Topic

Research on processes, analysis, assessment and management of natural and anthropogenic risks for spatial planning and emergency response.

The Natural and Anthropogenic Risks macro-theme focuses on the study of processes, data analysis and modeling, the development of GIS strategies and decision-support systems throughout the entire risk cycle: from hazard analysis to communication, including exposure, impacts, vulnerability, expected losses, territorial monitoring, mitigation measures, and emergency management. Activities combine research and scientific production with the design and implementation of advanced high-tech prototype solutions, as well as training and dissemination of results.
