Study of deep and surface geological processes to improve our understanding of the evolution of Earth and planetary systems
The macro-theme “Processes and Dynamics of the Earth System” focuses on the observation and interpretation of endogenous and exogenous processes of the Earth System, as well as their interaction across different spatial and temporal scales. A wide range of geoscientific investigation techniques is employed to enhance the understanding of Earth's dynamics and evolution, also through comparative studies with other planetary systems.
